The newest patch revolutionalised the TvZ metagame. Well, at least the early to mid game. Despite the patch is still new, there are enough pro-level games for us to have an overview of how the new patch affects the match up.

TvT: Banshee into Stim Medivac Drop
INnoVation did an interesting build against Happy on Whirlwind in Acer Team Story Cup. In contrast to a typical follow up, the build transits from a gas first Banshee opening to a double Medivac drop with Stim. Although INnoVation may not be the first one who used this, the focus is on the build.
Banshee Openings in TvZ Metagame
Hellions and Banshees were the key early game units in TvZ for a long period of time in Wings of Liberty, but this composition was almost inexistent in Heart of the Swarm. Interestingly, there has been a resurgence of Banshee openings in TvZ for the past two to three weeks.
Post Patch 2.0.9 TvT
It has been approximately two weeks since Patch 2.0.9, which involves buffing Banshee and nerfing Hellbat, goes live. The aim of the patch is the resolve the stagnate Hellbat vs. Hellbat metagame in TvT. This post is to evaluate the effects of the patch on the match up.
